Cannabis Seizure in Bel-Air-Rivière-Sèche
A police operation led to the seizure of twelve cannabis plants, reinforcing the fight against drug trafficking in Mauritius.
On August 10, a law enforcement action in Bel-Air-Rivière-Sèche resulted in the seizure of twelve cannabis plants, along with a quantity of leaves from the same substance. This operation took place around 6 PM on Royal Road, at the home of a 39-year-old man.
During the seizure, the police also discovered a transparent cylindrical glass container containing cannabis leaves. The total value of the seized products is estimated at around Rs 81,000, highlighting the extent of drug trafficking in the area.
Following this discovery, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody, illustrating the ongoing commitment of Mauritian authorities in the fight against drug trafficking.
