Burglary in Plaine-Verte: A Suspect Arrested After Theft of Automotive Accessories
A large-scale burglary was reported at an automotive accessories store, leading to the arrest of a suspect by law enforcement.
Between July 26 and August 5, a burglary occurred at an automotive accessories store located on the Pamplemousses road in Plaine-Verte. The theft, reported to the local police on August 6, resulted in an estimated loss of Rs 1.4 million.
Investigators found that several valuable items had been stolen, including 20 CD players, 60 suspension arms, 60 pairs of speakers, 50 fog lights, 20 pairs of shock absorbers, 215 battery terminals, 46 spoilers, and 105 windshield wipers. This list highlights the scale of the theft, targeting essential equipment for automobiles.
Following the investigation, a suspect was arrested by the police. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to clarify all aspects of the case and determine if other accomplices may be involved.
