Arrest in Camp-Diable for Drug Possession
An operation by the ADSU led to the arrest of a man in possession of psychotropic pills.
On Friday, July 17, a joint operation conducted by the Camp-Diable police and the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old man for drug possession. The individual, who resides in Camp-Diable and is currently unemployed, was apprehended while driving on the main road of the locality.
The law enforcement officers decided to stop the suspect and conduct a search of his vehicle. This inspection revealed the presence of 216 psychotropic pills, which were seized. The man was then taken to the Camp-Diable police station for further investigations.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by authorities to combat drug trafficking in the region. ADSU agents, in collaboration with local police, remain vigilant and active in detecting and intercepting illegal substances.
