Family Tragedy in Poudre-d’Or
A 54-year-old man lost his life after an altercation with his 14-year-old nephew.
A tragic incident occurred in Poudre-d’Or, where a 54-year-old man was fatally injured during a dispute with his teenage nephew. According to reports, Jacques Fidele, a fisherman, was stabbed in the abdomen during this altercation, which took place on the evening of Tuesday, August 4.
After the incident, relatives quickly transported the victim to the Goodlands medical clinic. However, as his condition deteriorated, he was transferred by ambulance to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him, and his death was pronounced at 10:17 PM.
The exact circumstances of this altercation remain unclear, and an investigation has been launched. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the precise cause of death. Additionally, a search operation is underway, led by the Northern Division, to clarify the events that led to this family tragedy.
