The Pellegrin, Trianon, and Ébène region benefits from a new roadway, the Pellegrin–Trianon Link Road, inaugurated on July 15. This initiative, which required an investment of Rs 43 million, aims to ease traffic and provide an alternative for motorists.

A Strategic Route

The new road connects the Petit Camp Branch Road to a recently developed roundabout along the M3–A14 corridor in Ébène. This development helps to alleviate congestion on the M3 highway and facilitates access to Trianon, a rapidly growing area.

The Minister of National Infrastructure, Ajay Gunness, officiated the inauguration of this road, emphasizing its importance in improving traffic flow in the region. Users now have the option to bypass frequently congested areas, thus reducing travel times.

A Response to Local Needs

This infrastructure project addresses the growing demand from residents and road users. Indeed, with the increase in the number of vehicles and urban development, it became necessary to find solutions to ease traffic.

This new roadway is part of a broader effort by authorities to modernize the Mauritian road network and address mobility challenges. Residents of the region can thus hope for a significant improvement in their daily lives thanks to this infrastructure.
