Inauguration of the 6th Breast Cancer Care Center in Mauritius
Anil Bachoo emphasizes the need for early breast cancer screening during the inauguration of the facility.
During the inauguration of the sixth Breast Cancer Care center in Mauritius, Anil Bachoo, former minister and board member of the association, highlighted the crucial importance of early screening in light of the rising cases of breast cancer on the island. He expressed growing concern about this disease, which increasingly affects Mauritian women.
Bachoo stressed that awareness of regular and early screening is essential to improve chances of recovery. He encouraged women to undergo regular check-ups, which could allow for the detection of cancer at a less advanced stage and, consequently, increase survival rates.
The ceremony also served as a reminder of the ongoing efforts of the association to provide care and support to patients. The Breast Cancer Care centers play a key role in offering screening services, as well as educational resources to better understand the disease.
In this context, Bachoo called for collective mobilization to combat breast cancer. He encouraged not only women to take charge of their health but also the community to engage in awareness and support actions.
The fight against breast cancer in Mauritius requires a proactive approach and commitment from everyone, according to Anil Bachoo. By promoting early screening, he hopes to reduce the impact of this disease on the Mauritian female population.
