The International Day of Older Persons will be celebrated on October 1 at the J&J Auditorium in Phoenix, an event organized by the Ministry of Social Integration, Social Security, and Solidarity. This year, the celebration will mark the 36th anniversary of this day dedicated to seniors, under the theme: « The age of longevity – rethinking systems for longer lives ».
This day aims to raise public awareness about the importance of older persons in society and to promote systems that enhance their well-being and integration. In this context, various activities will be offered, bringing together associations of older persons, youth, students, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
The celebrations will also encourage intergenerational exchanges and foster a better understanding of the issues related to population aging. This event is part of an initiative to value the contributions of older persons and highlight their wealth of experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in workshops, conferences, and fun activities, thus creating a friendly and festive atmosphere.
