A 35-year-old man was arrested by the ADSU during a raid in Dagotière, revealing elements related to drug trafficking.
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, law enforcement conducted a raid in Dagotière, resulting in the arrest of a 35-year-old man who works as a mason. This operation was carried out by the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) as part of the fight against drug trafficking.
ADSU officers went to the suspect’s home where they discovered a significant amount of synthetic cannabis, as well as various equipment used for drug packaging. During the search, a transparent plastic bag containing approximately 12.9 grams of synthetic cannabis was seized, indicating possible trafficking on a larger scale.
This arrest is part of a broader effort by authorities to combat drug trafficking on the island. Synthetic cannabis, which is a psychoactive substance often more potent than traditional cannabis, poses an increasing public health concern. Law enforcement continues to intensify its actions to dismantle trafficking networks and thus protect the community.
Following this operation, the suspect was taken into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the extent of his activities and possibly identify other accomplices or networks related to this trafficking.
