Fatal Work Accident in Mont-Mascal
A 53-year-old mechanic loses his life in a tragic accident, highlighting workplace risks.

A tragic accident occurred in Mont-Mascal, Petit-Raffray, resulting in the death of a 53-year-old mechanic who resided in Triolet. The incident took place on Saturday morning, around 8:30 AM, while the victim was performing repairs under a bus.
According to reports, the hydraulic jack supporting the vehicle unexpectedly failed, crushing the mechanic. He was found trapped under the bus, and despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, he could not be saved.
An autopsy was performed and revealed that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to mechanical compression of the neck. The victim’s head was found wedged between the vehicle’s wing and the ground, contributing to the tragedy.
This unfortunate event highlights the potential dangers faced by professionals in the mechanical sector and underscores the importance of adequate safety measures in the workplace. Workplace accidents remain a major concern, and this case serves as a reminder of the importance of strict adherence to safety standards to prevent such incidents in the future.
