The Financial Services Commission (FSC) and the Cabinet of Mauritius have recently expressed growing concerns about DistributeX, a platform that promises quick gains to its users. Despite these warnings, many Mauritians continue to sign up, drawn by the prospect of easy profits.

DistributeX, also known as DX Company, is suspected of using extortion methods to prevent users from withdrawing their funds. Anonymous images and screenshots shared with the media outlet ION News show alarming tactics employed by the platform to block withdrawals, raising doubts about the legitimacy of its operations.

A striking example involves a new user who invested Rs 7,000 in hopes of achieving a return on investment. However, before even being able to withdraw any gains, the entirety of their investment disappeared, illustrating the high risks associated with this platform.

The authorities warn against promises of quick gains, which are often a sign of fraud. The FSC advises investors to exercise caution and carefully examine investment opportunities that seem too good to be true.

In response to the situation, the Cabinet has reinforced its call for vigilance among savers, emphasizing that investments should be made in an informed and responsible manner. Users are advised to inquire about the legality and security of platforms before committing financially.

As DistributeX continues to attract new users, the need for increased vigilance and financial education becomes imperative. Mauritian authorities are committed to protecting savers from the risks associated with dubious platforms and promoting a safer investment environment.
