Drug Seizure in L’Escalier
An operation by the ADSU leads to the arrest of a thirty-something and the seizure of various drugs.
On Friday, August 21, an operation by the anti-drug brigade of the ADSU resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old man residing in L’Escalier. This intervention took place around 9:00 AM at the individual’s home, where agents conducted a thorough search.
During this operation, agents uncovered an impressive array of illicit substances. Among the seizures were 2.42 grams of methamphetamine, also known as Crystal meth, which were packaged in two zip-lock bags and a glossy paper. Additionally, 1.8 grams of synthetic cannabinoids were found, along with 2 grams of cannabis.
Alongside the substances, authorities also seized a sum of 17,900 Mauritian rupees, likely linked to trafficking activities. This operation underscores the ADSU’s commitment to combating drugs and the need to maintain public safety in the face of challenges posed by narcotics.
