An ongoing investigation concerning Gulshan Govind and his wife, Véronique Leu-Govind, is raising questions within the Mauritian government. Authorities, including the Anti-Drug & Smuggling Unit (ADSU), have confirmed that seeds and leaves suspected to be cannabis were found in an SUV, a GWM Tank 300, registered in her name. This situation has led investigators to seek to question the MP regarding these findings.
