Formal Complaint Over Conflict of Interest Involving Racing Analyst
A complaint has been filed with the Ministry of Public Service regarding an analyst from the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA).
On August 28, a formal complaint was lodged with the Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service concerning an alleged conflict of interest involving a racing analyst from the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA). This information was revealed by ION News, which was able to review the complaint letter.
The letter, which does not include a full name, is signed by an individual identifying themselves as « J.H. – A horse lover. » It was also sent in copy to the Secretary of the Public Service at the Ministry of Public Service and Administration.
This type of complaint raises concerns about the integrity of the GRA’s activities, an agency responsible for regulating gambling in Mauritius. The alleged conflict of interest could have significant implications for transparency and trust in the decisions made by this authority.
The GRA must now address this accusation and may be required to investigate the situation. The Ministry of Public Service, for its part, is responsible for evaluating the complaint and taking appropriate action if any wrongdoing is confirmed.
